Minissha Lamba Born January 1, 1985 (age 23) New Delhi, India to a Punjabi-speaking Sikh family.

Currently she is a well-placed actor in Bollywood. She had not really decided to act in films, but she loved modeling and was fortunate enough to be selected to model for Cadbury.

Clearly her intent was to complete her education, concentrate on an academic career and do some modeling on the side.

 She was successful in completing her education from Miranda House, University of Delhi and majored in English with Honors in 2004? She got her first break unexpectedly, when she was auditioning for a Cadbury commercial in Delhi.

Then came her first movie in 2005 called Yahaan, which was directed by Shoojit Sircar. She recently signed Siddharth Anand's next which stars Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone along with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role produced by Yashraj Films.
